Portsmouth is a vibrant historic Naval City on the south coast of England. Portsmouth hosts Gunwharf Quays shopping and leisure complex, with the Spinnaker Tower at its heart, alongside the historic naval dockyard.

The dockyard is home to the 200 year old HMS Victory and the 500 year old Mary Rose ships. Well worth a visit! Portsmouth also has excellent road and rail links to the rest of the country.

There are regular, direct train services to London, Winchester, Brighton, Cardiff and Bath. There is also an International Ferry Port with ferries to many popular European destinations. The beautiful Isle of Wight is only 10 minutes away by hovercraft or 30 minutes by ferry.

  • Full-board accommodation in a British Host family, which provides an excellent opportunity to practice English and British culture.

  • 20 hours of English tuition per week, aiming to improve communication skills and all other language skills.

  • 2 project sessions with immersion activities for presentations at the end of the course.

  • A bus pass for daily travel.

  • Afternoon activities and local visits: 2 sports sessions, visit to Spinnaker Tower, HMS Victory and the Mary Rose Museum, swimming, evening disco and many local activities.

  • Full day excursion to: London, Winchester or Brighton.

  • Evening activities are to be arranged as requested by group leaders/teachers.

Course dates are flexible and can be arranged to suit your group.
