Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, situated on the south coast of Wales, is a lively cultural centre. Cardiff is a friendly, compact and safe city with a great character and impressive heritage. Cardiff is 150 miles (240 kilometers) west of London.

Cardiff is the home for Cardiff Bay, which includes the Wales Millennium Centre, home of the national opera, Cardiff Castle, National Museum and Gallery, Llandaff Cathedral, a hands-on science centre, historic shopping arcades and colourful gardens and parks. Nearby are beautiful coastal scenery and beaches.

Cardiff also has an excellent transport service and can easily be explored on foot, with the majority of attractions, shops, restaurants and hotels all within a few minutes of each other.

  • Full-board accommodation in a British Host family – which provides an excellent opportunity to practice English and British culture.

  • 15 hours of English tuition per week, aiming to improve communication skills and all other language skills.

  • 2 project sessions with immersion activities for presentations at the end of the course.

  • A bus pass for daily travel.

  • Afternoon activities and local visits: 2 sports sessions, visit to Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Bay, National Museum of Cardiff and visit to Wales Millennium Centre, evening disco and many local activities.

  • Full day excursion to: Bath and Bristol (optional visit to Swansea).

  • Evening activities are to be arranged as requested by group leaders/teachers.
